Overview
NHS Grampian is looking for a motivated, experienced professional to take up the permanent role of Clinical Procurement Specialist. This person will assist the Organisation in achieving effective and efficient use of medical and surgical supplies while maintaining quality. They will provide clinical support and advice through knowledge and experience to multidisciplinary healthcare professionals across NHS Grampian in relation to the selection, evaluation, procurement and use of clinical equipment. This person will lead to develop and maintain an interface between all clinical service users and the Procurement Service regarding the use and acquisition of medical and surgical products, redesigning and controlling stock and non-stock purchases to achieve the financial target. The successful candidate will have a positive approach that demonstrates a willingness to work as part of a team, to propose ideas and solutions which in turn deliver a better service to our staff and patients.
Responsibilities
* Provide clinical support and advice to multidisciplinary healthcare professionals on selection, evaluation, procurement and use of clinical equipment.
* Lead the interface between clinical service users and the Procurement Service for the use and acquisition of medical and surgical products.
* Redesign and control stock and non-stock purchases to achieve financial targets.
* Collaborate with teams to deliver improvements in service to staff and patients.
Qualifications
* Relevant degree and/or be a Registered Nurse or an Allied Health Professional.
* Use specialist medical and surgical knowledge to influence change.
* Experience working within a Health, social care or related public sector environment and ability to solve problems efficiently and effectively.
