What you’ll do
Within this, our Financial Services Compliance Advice team plays a pivotal role, providing independent challenge and expert guidance to ensure our financial services activities meet FCA expectations in a pragmatic, commercially grounded way.
In this role, you’ll deliver impactful, risk based compliance advice that empowers first line teams, strengthens our policy and control frameworks, and ensures regulatory obligations are embedded across products, journeys and operations. You’ll also help drive constructive regulatory engagement and champion Consumer Duty principles across strategic initiatives. To thrive here, you’ll bring deep FCA expertise, sharp analytical judgement and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders with clarity, credibility and commercial awareness.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide clear, risk based and commercially aware compliance advice that supports informed decisions across our financial services activities.
* Translate FCA requirements into practical, actionable guidance that drives good customer outcomes and supports product, commercial and operational delivery.
* Act as a trusted second line advisor, influencing stakeholders and providing constructive challenge across business initiatives and change programmes.
* Collaborate across the combined Vodafone and Three businesses to ensure aligned, coherent compliance advice that reflects shared and entity specific risks.
* Strengthen first line ownership of compliance and conduct risks by supporting risk identification, escalation and the design of proportionate controls.
* Provide oversight and challenge on incidents and breaches, contributing to impact assessments, root cause analysis and effective remediation.
* Shape and maintain clear, proportionate compliance policies and standards, and support horizon scanning, regulatory engagement and high quality reporting.
Who you are
* Brings significant second line advisory experience within a UK regulated firm, with deep technical knowledge of the FCA Handbook - especially CONC - alongside ICOBS, PRIN (incl. Consumer Duty) and SYSC.
* Able to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into clear, commercially balanced guidance for product, commercial, digital, marketing and operational teams.
* Demonstrates a strong track record in regulatory change delivery, from horizon scanning and impact assessment through to embedding new FCA requirements across processes, controls and MI.
* Experienced in embedding Consumer Duty across governance, product lifecycle and customer journeys, advising on fair value, customer understanding and customer support.
* Skilled in risk identification, proportionate control design and operating within a three lines of defence framework, with experience challenging incidents, breaches and remediation activity.
* A confident communicator and constructive challenger, able to influence senior stakeholders, articulate risk trade offs and produce high quality papers, guidance and compliance reporting.
* Brings a growth mindset, continuously improving processes, templates and advisory approaches, and keeping regulatory knowledge current through ongoing development.
* Thrives in fast paced, transformational environments, collaborating openly across teams, aligning advice, sharing insights and applying data led thinking to identify trends and emerging risks.
