Position:
Finance Manager
Working Hours:
Full time - Permanent - 35 hours a week - Monday to Friday: 09:00-17:00. 1 day a week from home.
Role Summary:
Christopher Ward is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Finance Manager to help lead our finance team and play a crucial role in driving our continued growth. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, including consolidations, reporting, budgeting, and analysis. Essential Qualification
You should be a qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or similar)
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing financial operations.
Experience in consolidations, including preparing and presenting consolidated financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, notably including GAAP.
Demonstrated ability working within a team. Experience in providing coaching and mentoring beneficial.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills.
Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
Responsibilities:
Lead the finance team in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including consolidated financial statements.
Ownership of shipping taxes compliance within he finance function is a key aspect of this role, experience within duties and sales taxes, VAT returns and shipping implications is beneficial to a candidate, but not mandatory.
Manage the monthly and annual financial closing process.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts.
Oversee the budgeting process and monitor actual performance against budget.
Manage relationships with external auditors.
Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decision-making.
Directly manage 1 direct report and provide coaching and development opportunities.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with other departments across the business.
