Support Worker/ Personal Assistant – Direct Payments
Hours: 6 hours per week (initially split into two 3-hour sessions, with the option to build up to a single 6-hour session; flexible

Hi, my name is Olivia and I’m 22 years old. I’m looking for a Support Worker/ Personal Assistant (PA) to support me.
About me: I have a learning disability, autism, and extreme anxiety, and I need patient, consistent support to help me build confidence and independence at my own pace. At the moment, my anxiety makes it really hard for me to get out and about or join groups, but I really want to be more independent and start exploring my community safely. I need someone patient and kind to help me build confidence, learn new skills, and feel more in control of my life.
Hours:I need someone for about 6 hours a week.
To start, it will be two shorter sessions of 3 hours, and then we can build up to one 6-hour session if that works for both of us.
I’m flexible and happy to talk about what suits you and me.
What I’d like help with:
* Learning everyday life skills, like meal planning, shopping, cooking, and budgeting.
* Feeling calm and managing my anxiety in different situations.
* Practising safe travel and road awareness, so I can start going out independently in the future.
* Supporting me to access community groups or activities Sometimes, if you can drive and have your own car, that would be really helpful (petrol costs will be paid
* Being patient, understanding, and encouraging while I work on new goals
About you:
* Someone who is calm, patient, and kind.
* Reliable and trustworthy.
* Good at listening and helping me make choices.
* Able to support me in building independence and confidence, taking things slowly at my pace.
* It’s great if you have experience with autism, learning disabilities, anxiety, or practical life skills, but not essential – I’m happy to teach you what works best for me!
Other things: Training will be provided if needed. You’ll work with my family too, so we can all support me together. You’ll need a DBS check and references, and you’ll need to respect my privacy and confidentiality.

What to expect from the Employer:
