Associate Structural Engineer – Building Safety
Location: Sidcup, Kent | Salary: £60k-£70k
Overview
Are you an ambitious Chartered Structural Engineer with an interest in buildings safety? Could you be interested to join this multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy at their office in Sidcup, Kent, to lead and assist in the development of their team delivering structural engineering inspections and reports for building safety cases?
The firm has over 100 staff and its sectors include rail, buildings, marine, transport, housing, local government, and many others. They are very varied in their workload.
Responsibilities
* Work with the Director to expand the client portfolio while managing growth and overseeing technical delivery of the existing team.
* Lead the current buildings structures team of around 10 staff.
* Visit sites, make observations, and provide written advice on building structures.
* Deliver structural engineering inspections and reports for building safety cases.
Qualifications
* Chartered Structural Engineer.
* Broad experience in buildings structures design.
* Good experience and understanding of robustness and progressive collapse.
* Experience of assessments and remedial works of Large Panel systems preferred.
* Eligibility to live and work in the UK.
