The Commercial and Creative Industries at Carshalton College are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Technician/Instructor competent in all aspects of Beauty Therapy. This role includes managing and maintaining the college's Commercial and Training Salons, purchasing, and working with the Beauty Team of lecturers.
You will assist and support academic staff during formal classes and instruct, supervise, or assess individual students or groups of students, with or without a member of teaching staff present. You will monitor and control stock levels and order materials and equipment in line with College financial regulations to meet tutor, student, and client requirements.
As our Technician/Instructor, you should hold a relevant vocational, professional, or technical qualification at Level 2. You should have strong knowledge of Beauty therapy products and treatments, NVQs in beauty therapy, and experience working in a relevant technical, creative, or commercial environment. You should also be able to implement Equal Opportunities policies and challenge discrimination in all its forms.
With excellent communication and organizational skills, you should be able to work both independently and as part of a team, prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work effectively under pressure.

* The successful candidate will be eligible for any salary increase resulting from the annual cost of living review in the upcoming academic year.
