Technical GIS Officer
We are currently supporting a Local Authority who are undergoing significant work across GIS and require a more Technical GIS Officer.
Responsibilities
* iShare Decommissioning (Primary Deliverable)
* GIS System Upgrade & Stabilisation
* LLPG Vesting-Day Readiness
* Back-Office GIS Support & Risk Reduction
* Esri Utilisation & System Optimisation
* Training, Upskilling & Knowledge Transfer
Essential Skills
* Strong back office GIS system management experience.
* Coding/scripting - Python.
* Understanding and experience with Land Clan suite.
* Familiarity with Esri, including ArcGIS Pro.
* Experience in planning or local government environments.
* Ability to train, upskill, and support non-technical users.
* Ability to deliver system improvements independently.
Preferred Skills
* Creative, solutions driven mindset.
* Ability to identify under utilised tools and improve system usage.
* Ability to streamline workflows and optimise digital processes.
Role Details
* Length of contract - 6-12 months
* Day Rate - Circa £300 DOE
* Hybrid - On site twice a month in Surrey
* IR35 - Pending Confirmation, likely Outside
