Experience: 5+ years
Employment Type: Full-time
About the Role:
We are seeking a seasoned and client-focused Cloud Solution Architect based in the UK to drive the design and delivery of cloud-native solutions. In this role, you will work closely with the Cloud Sales function, supporting pre-sales efforts by understanding customer needs, crafting tailored cloud strategies, and ensuring technical alignment. You’ll collaborate with clients, technical teams, and business stakeholders to lead cloud assessments, migrations, and implementations across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with clients to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into cloud-based architectural solutions.
• Design and architect scalable, reliable, and secure cloud solutions using platforms such as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Conduct cloud assessments and provide recommendations on migration strategies, including lift-and-shift, re-platforming, and refactoring.
• Develop comprehensive architecture blueprints, diagrams, and documentation that clearly communicate the proposed solution to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work closely with development teams to ensure adherence to cloud architecture best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Assist in the evaluation and selection of cloud services, tools, and frameworks based on project requirements and cost-performance considerations.
• Implement and configure cloud services, including compute, storage, databases, networking, and security components.
• Ensure security and compliance by implementing appropriate cloud security controls and adhering to regulatory standards and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with DevOps and operations teams to optimize cloud resource utilization, implement monitoring, and troubleshoot performance issues.
• Stay updated on emerging cloud technologies, trends, and best practices, and evangelize knowledge within internal teams and with clients.
Key Requirements:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, cloud engineering, or a similar role with strong customer-facing exposure.
• Deep hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with the others.
• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, microservices, containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless architectures.
• Proficiency in creating architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and deployment models.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation), and automation tools.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, encryption, network security, and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, GDPR).
• Excellent communication and client interaction skills; able to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Desirable Certifications:
