We are currently in the process of redeveloping the hospital to provide a new state‑of‑the‑art hospital for the residents of Hillingdon, and beyond, which supports the very best in delivery of healthcare and will be fit for our future.
Job summary
* Dispenses medicines to outpatients and inpatients.
* Ensures good housekeeping in the dispensary by keeping benches and baskets clear of drugs no longer required.
* Organises and maintains medicine supplies within the dispensary.
* Resolution of stock issues according to departmental procedures.
* Provide Pharmacy Dispensary support.
* Deal with enquiries from patients and healthcare staff.
* Undertakes related clerical duties.
* Training & supervision.
* Dispensing and patient counselling.
* Provide a top up service of stock items to wards and departments where required.
* Cover reception for outpatients and inpatients requiring use of digital systems.
* Competent in the use of the automated dispensing equipment and resolves operational.

Person Specification
Criteria
* Minimum NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy services
* Accepted standard of basic education to support above
* Recent previous experience working in pharmacy within the NHS
* Previous experience of working with the general public in a customer care role
