Community, Participation & Volunteering Manager - High Wycombe Summary Important notice In line with our redeployment policy, we’ll prioritise applications from employees who are under formal notice of redundancy. We are looking for a Community, Participation and Volunteering Manager for the Hughenden, West Wycombe and Central Chilterns property group. This role will be working along side other team members to support and develop our volunteering offer. This role will work with the General Manager, Visitor Experience Manager to look outwards into our local community of High Wycombe to build relationships and broaden our community participation and engagement. This role is 4 days a week which can be flexible, but regular weekend and bank holiday working is required. What it's like to work here Hughenden Manor is the home of Victorian Prime Minster and the secret located of World War II operation Hillside. It is an impressive red brick mansion surrounded by rolling parkland. West Wycombe is beautiful Mansion and designed landscape, still lived in by the Dashwood Family. The Central Chilterns is a collection of beautiful landscapes. Hughenden Manor where the Estate office is located is situated a short distance from High Wycombe and local transport links are excellent. Click here for more information about this location What you'll be doing You'll be working in collaboration with team members, internal and external consultants and members of the local community, developing a plan for community participation and involvement. You'll be supporting and developing our current volunteer offer and you'll also be a key member of the property group leadership team Who we're looking for We'd love to hear from you if you have: excellent understanding of good practice in community engagement and participatory practice, and experience of applying it in a range of contexts. ability to use data and insight to prioritise, make effective choices and decide when and how to engage different audiences proven experience in thinking strategically, understanding broader internal and external contextual issues well versed in building effective partnerships and managing various stakeholders through change strong partnership working and stakeholder engagement experience ability to grow and diversify participation impactful communication, influencing and team-working skills Applications from redeployees are assessed against the minimum criteria for the role.
