?? Mechanical Engineer - OX14 - Temporary (3 Months+)
Hays are recruiting for a skilled Mechanical Engineer to support a busy site in OX14, working as part of an established on-site engineering team.
Location: OX14
Shifts: 5am-1pm, 9am-5pm, 15:30-23:30 (rotating)
Pay: £25.00 - £27.50 per hour (Umbrella) / £19.19 - £23.00 PAYE
Contract: 3 months initially, with potential to extend
The Role: You'll carry out mechanical maintenance, repairs, and fault-finding across a range of plant and equipment to ensure minimal disruption and high performance.
Key Duties:
* Planned and reactive mechanical maintenance
* Working on pumps, motors, valves, pipework and HVAC systems
* Diagnosing and repairing faults
* Supporting minor installations and upgrades
* Reviewing and improving maintenance schedules
* Ensuring all work is compliant and safe
* Supporting subcontractors and completing documentation
What We're Looking For:
1. Mechanical qualifications (City & Guilds / NVQ or equivalent)
2. Background in FM, building services, or similar environments
3. Strong mechanical maintenance and fault-finding experience
4. Organised, reliable and able to work independently
5. Flexible to work rotating shifts
