This is an exciting opportunity to apply your academic knowledge in a dynamic commercial environment, supporting real-world environmental and social impact initiatives.

As our Sustainability Officer, you’ll play a key role in driving our company’s commitment to environmental responsibility and ethical business practices. Working closely with the Head of Compliance and QHSE Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience across sustainability reporting, compliance, and stakeholder engagement.

A typical working pattern is Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:30, with a one-hour lunch break. This role also offers flexibility to work from home, typically two days per week for a five-day working week

Support the maintenance and management of sustainability platforms, including the Carbon Disclosure Portal, SWEEP, and the Social Value Portal.

Assist in preparing environmental and social value reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with key standards and regulations.

Contribute to our environmental management frameworks, including ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, under expert guidance.

Collaborate with teams across the business — from Bids to Marketing — to gather sustainability data and support client submissions.

Help develop internal training and guidance materials to embed sustainability best practice.

Stay up to date with emerging legislation, such as the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD), to support our continuous improvement.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
A recent graduate with a degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Environmental Management, or a related discipline.

Strong analytical and data management skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset and a proactive, can-do attitude.

Passionate about sustainability and eager to learn within a fast-paced commercial setting.

Experience through volunteering, university projects, or internships in sustainability or environmental topics would be a bonus.
