Job Summary
Working out of our Burton on Trent office, The Office Administrator will be responsible for the smooth day-to-day running of administrative tasks while also playing a critical role in generating accurate pricing for glass and mirror products. The ideal candidate will have experience in the glass and glazing industry, understand different glass types, thicknesses, edge finishes, and have the ability to create quotes based on specifications provided by customers or sales teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to office and production staff, including managing communications, filing, and scheduling.
* Generate and maintain accurate quotes and price estimates for glass and mirror products.
* Liaise with suppliers to obtain cost information and maintain up-to-date pricing databases.
* Assist sales staff by preparing estimates and technical specifications for customers.
* Process customer orders, ensuring all product specifications are clearly documented.
* Maintain accurate records of quotations, sales orders, and customer communications.
* Coordinate with the production team to ensure pricing aligns with material and labour costs.
* Respond to customer inquiries by phone and email in a professional and timely manner.
* Support general office functions such as invoicing, data entry, and reporting.
Requirements
* Proven experience as an Office Administrator or similar role.
* Strong understanding of glass types, mirror products, and fabrication options.
* Ability to read technical drawings and interpret customer requirements.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable Skills
* Knowledge of glazing industry standards and regulations.
* Familiarity with manufacturing processes related to glass and mirrors.
