Greenfield Primary School are looking to recruit a professional, enthusiastic and caring person to join our current team in our pre-school. We are open all year round and provide a welcoming and inspirational learning environment with a committed and talented team who share the goals of wanting to give every child the best possible start in life. We aim for our children to leave pre-school ‘school ready’ and with a strong base upon which to continue their education journey.
The pre-school is based in a fantastic new purpose built unit next to the Reception base on the main school site. We have lovely rooms with resources for all pre-schoolers, three outdoor spaces and an amazing Forest School in our woodland.
We have close links with the primary school team, including the SENCO and links with other support agencies in the community so our parents are well supported in their first stage of their early education.
Hours of work:
We are open from 7.45am to - 5.45pm during the week, and are looking to fill a full time post of 37.5 hours per week. Practitioners work on a 4 week rota system, with one week early, one week late and two core hour weeks.
This role is all year round with 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Part of the annual leave is to be taken during the Christmas break when the pre-school is closed.
Salary:
LCC range Grade 6 - 7, range £25,539 to £27,641 per annum dependant on experience.
We are looking for someone with:
• a relevant qualification, an NVQ level 3 in Early Years childcare, or equivalent.
• experience of working as part of a team within a pre-school/nursery setting
• a positive, hardworking and "can do" attitude
• sound experience of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and are able to contribute to planning, observations and reports
• be able to provide a safe, stimulating environment for all children
