Production Planner
Barnsley, South Yorkshire
Elevation Recruitment Group are searching for a Production Planner to join an SME Manufacturing business based in Barnsley.
Key Responsibilities:
* Regularly review and update minimal inventory and re-order parameters to maintain optimal levels of finished goods
* Develop and implement efficient production plans that meet both internal and external customer requirements
* Assist the Production Planning Manager and collaborate with the planning and materials manager to produce daily production schedules
* Work closely with the production team to ensure current and future demand is me
* Prepare relevant reports on material availability and analyse data from various sources to provide management information
* Maintain finished goods inventory levels according to set targets and ensure all planning activities support customer service performance goals
* Collaborate with other departments and management team members as needed
* Present production planning information at management meetings when required
* Contribute towards personal and departmental targets and key performance indicators (KPIs)
Required Experience:
* Previous experience in a production planning environment is essential
* A self-starter who can act on their own initiative
* Adaptable and comfortable with ambiguity
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel, with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems and software
* Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of communicating effectively at all levels both internally and externally
