TPF Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a well-established, independent accountancy practice in the TW area that is looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their close-knit and friendly team.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a small but growing firm that offers a varied role, direct client exposure and a supportive working environment. The practice provides a full range of accounting, tax and advisory services to a diverse portfolio of clients, including SMEs, owner-managed businesses and individuals.
The Role
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role within the practice, managing your own client portfolio and supporting the delivery of high-quality accounts and tax services.
Key responsibilities will include:
Managing a portfolio of clients across a range of industries
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
Preparing corporation tax returns and supporting personal tax work where required
Preparing and reviewing management accounts
Overseeing bookkeeping and VAT return preparation
Acting as the main point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships
Providing general business and financial advice to clients
Supporting and reviewing the work of junior staff where applicable
Ensuring all work is completed accurately and in line with deadlines and compliance requirements
Assisting with ad-hoc projects and supporting the Partners with client work
RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate
The successful candidate will likely have:
ACA or ACCA qualified, or qualified by experience
Strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
Good technical knowledge across accounts and tax compliance
Experience managing a client portfolio independently
Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with clients
A proactive and organised approach with strong attention to detail
Experience using cloud accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks

Salary in the region of £45,000 – £55,000 per annum, depending on experience
