We are looking for an enthusiastic General Anaesthetist to join a well-established Anaesthetic Department as a Consultant. The Department of Anaesthesia, Critical Care and Pain provides anaesthetic cover for three of the Trust's sites, maintains Critical Care facilities on two of the Trust's sites and Chronic Pain Clinics on one site. The successful applicant will join the Department's on call rota at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.
The successful candidate will be based in the Anaesthetic Department, carrying out general anaesthetic duties across the Trust and participating in the general anaesthesia on-call rota. At present the frequency of on calls is 1:14, but can vary from 1:12 to 1:15, attracting 3% on call supplement. During on call duties you will be covering general emergency theatre, obstetric theatres and A&E. The appointee will work across the three sites in Doncaster, Bassetlaw and Mexborough to provide excellent Anaesthetic services, taking an equal share of emergency anaesthetic cover and providing reciprocal cover for consultant colleagues during short periods of absence. 1.5 PA is currently allocated for the on-call work, which is a 1:8 general on-call.
