Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist - Voice
We have a unique and appealing vacancy for a Band 7 Clinical Voice Specialist to join our friendly, innovative, and supportive adult team. In this role, you will manage, provide, and develop a high-quality voice therapy service for out-patients in Conwy & Denbighshire, working closely with ENT specialists.
There are opportunities for flexible working and virtual appointments. We offer supervision, PADR, CPD, training, and career development opportunities. Welsh language skills are desirable; applications from Welsh and English speakers are equally welcome.
Main duties of the job
* Lead, manage, deliver, and develop a quality outpatient voice therapy service for adults in Conwy & Denbighshire.
* Provide highly specialist therapy to patients with dysphonia and other laryngeal dysfunctions, such as ILO/VCD or chronic cough.
* Optimize service delivery, uphold standards of best practice, and ensure successful outcomes.
* Collaborate with ENT, MDT, and liaise with other disciplines, services, and GPs.
* Deliver therapy 1:1 or in groups, face-to-face or virtually, with scope for hybrid working.
* Participate in a Joint Voice Clinic at Glan Clwyd Hospital, with opportunities for flexible nasendoscopy examinations.
* Provide advice, upskill, and supervise other SLTs; educate and advise MDT professionals.
* Access management supervision, annual PADR, team meetings, clinical supervision, and educational sharing.
* Engage in CPD and be part of a Voice Centre of Excellence Network.
* Support career development and work creatively to develop care pathways and manage caseloads.

Qualifications
* Recognized degree/equivalent in SLT
* HCPC registered
* Postgraduate study at Masters level or equivalent experience
* Evidence of CPD portfolio
* Clinical supervisory experience
Desirable qualifications
* Membership of relevant clinical networks
* Additional professional or academic qualifications related to clinical practice
* Practice Placement Educator Certificate
Experience
* Significant clinical experience in the specialty
* Experience in clinical leadership and multidisciplinary team management
* Service development and improvement experience
Knowledge and Skills
* Extensive clinical knowledge in the specialty
* Recent relevant clinical study
