Rail Planner Location: England Contract: Permanent | 40 hours/week | Monday–Friday Salary: Competitive We’re looking for an experienced Rail Planner to join our team and take ownership of safe work planning across a variety of rail projects. You’ll manage the creation and control of Safe Work Packs, possessions, line blocks and all associated protection arrangements, ensuring full compliance with NR/L2/OHS/019. What you’ll do: Plan and manage safe work, line blockages, and possession arrangements. Work closely with the Responsible Manager, Person in Charge, and Assistant Planner. Ensure full compliance with Network Rail standards and Ground Control processes. Use RailHub, PPS, and GZAC systems to plan and monitor all activities. Provide expert rail SSOW planning support to operational teams. Maintain and update safety-critical competencies and professional knowledge. What you’ll bring: Minimum 5 years’ experience in safety-critical rail planning. Sentinel competence for SSOW Planner (current and valid). Strong knowledge of NR/L2/OHS/019 standards. Excellent IT and systems skills. Proven ability to work accurately under pressure and to tight deadlines.
