Education Support Worker – Durham Secondary School £90–£110 per day | Starting September 2025 Teaching Personnel has Education Support Worker roles in a Sunderland secondary school. If you've got a degree in Psychology, Childcare or something similar and you're interested in working with secondary aged children, this could suit you. What the job involves: You'll be supporting students in and out of the classroom - helping with learning, managing behaviour, and working on emotional wellbeing. Some of it's 1:1, some is small groups. You'll assist with learning plans, work alongside teachers and the SENCO, and help create a nice classroom environment where students can focus. Ideal for: Recent graduates wanting hands-on experience before deciding on further training People with childcare backgrounds looking to move into secondary education Anyone considering a career in teaching, educational psychology, or SEN support You'll need: A relevant degree (Psychology, Childcare or related) Good communication skills and ability to work in a team Genuine interest in supporting young people Some experience with kids or teens (placements, volunteering, youth work) Enhanced DBS (or willingness to get one) Daily rate: £90–£110 depending on experience Start: September 2025 Location: Sunderland Interested?
