Responsibilities:
1. Achieve efficient operations of the IS (Independent Section) machine to minimize production loss after job changes.
2. Monitor IS machine performance and respond to changes to maximize efficiency.
3. Adjust electronic timing systems as needed to improve machine operation.
4. Coordinate machine trials to ensure new or modified bottles meet customer specifications.
5. Liaise with the feeder and forehearth team to optimize glass temperature, gob weight, and shape for maximum efficiency.
6. Identify and highlight the need for equipment changes on IS machines, referring to relevant personnel.
7. Assist the Shift Production Engineer and Machine Operator in rectifying mechanical issues and container defects to minimize downtime.
8. Maintain effective communication between colleagues and supervision.
9. Implement improvements to procedures, working methods, and machines to enhance production and meet specifications.
10. Create and update Job on Job off (JO-JO) files for accurate reference.
Required skills / qualifications:
1. Deep understanding of IS machine mechanical operations.
2. Good knowledge of job change procedures.
3. Understanding of forehearth and feeder operations.
4. Knowledge of container specification checks.
5. Understanding of quality control procedures.
