As a key member of our in-frame team, you’ll work across various sectors, providing top-notch diagnostic and repair services for Caterpillar products, including CAT engines, generators, and components. Position Overview
Location: Leeds, Cannock, Cardiff, Glasgow Type: Permanent Your Role
As a Finning Engineer, you will: Respond to customer field repair and service requests, diagnosing issues and providing detailed information to create accurate quotes. Estimate arrival times based on job instructions and communicate effectively with customers. Diagnose equipment problems using specialized tools and collaborate with customer operators to determine necessary repairs. Identify and requisition parts needed for repairs, ensuring timely delivery and scheduling of service visits. Perform repair and service work on a variety of Caterpillar engines and generators. To thrive in this role, you should have: A valid LDV driving license. Formal training (NVQ Level 3 preferred) and significant experience as a service engineer. Hands-on experience with gas and diesel engines, including generators (both LV and HV). Knowledge of field-based diagnostic tools and equipment. Experience with assembly and disassembly of diesel engines and components. Why Finning?
