The post holder will be required to deliver education, learning and development programmes for staff within the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service Health & Social Care Trust (NIAS) at approved training facilities throughout the Trust as required, ensuring that all statutory, legislative and local requirements are fulfilled in accordance with regulatory, professional, advisory and awarding bodies. He/she will participate in the ongoing development of education, learning and development programmes to meet current and future national, regional and local standards, curriculum, policies and procedures.Please see employer website for full job details & person specification.
Responsibilities
* Work collaboratively with members of Clinical Education Department in order to develop and deliver high quality educational, learning and development programmes and associated materials.
* To work collaboratively with members of the Clinical Education Department in order to ensure a consistent approach to the delivery and assessment methodology of education, learning and development programmes.
* To work collaboratively with Senior Managers and Officers of the Trust as required in order to support the delivery of the service in accordance with the Trust’s strategic developments and meet national, regional and local performance targets.
* To educate, develop, assess and support students both in the classroom and in practice placements to achieve the required professional standards and clinical performance indicators.
Skills and Qualifications
* Must be a Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) Registered Paramedic with a minimum of 3 years Paramedic experience.
* Must hold an Institute of Health Care Development (IHCD) Ambulance Aid Instructor Certificate.
* Or Must hold Ulster University Level 6 Module, Principles of Learning and Teaching for Clinical Practice Education.
* Or Must hold a teaching qualification deemed as an acceptable equivalent for teaching on FutureQuals Level 4 Diploma for AAP.
