The Project Administrator supports the delivery of electrical contracting projects by managing documentation, coordinating schedules, facilitating communication, and ensuring projects run efficiently, on time, and within budget. This role is central to administrative control, compliance, and operational support for project teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide day-to-day administrative support to project managers and field supervisors for electrical construction projects.
* Maintain and organize project documentation, including contracts, drawings, specifications, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
* Schedule and coordinate project meetings; prepare agendas and record meeting minutes.
* Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of projects, ensuring compliance with timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Track and manage project costs, billing, budgets, and change orders; support project accounting processes.
* Update and maintain project management systems, trackers, and logs, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
* Facilitate communication between project teams, clients, vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors.
* Monitor project progress, deadlines, and deliverables, reporting any issues to project leadership.
* Support contract compliance by managing documentation for audits and quality assurance.
* Assist with procurement tasks and help expedite materials and resources needed for project execution.
* Activities specific to electrical contracting, such as handling technical submittals, creating and updating RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements), and reading electrical construction drawings.
Working Hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday - 37.5 Hours per week
Required Skills:
* Comfortable using Microsoft Office programs like Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Good at staying organized and paying attention to details.
* Able to communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
* Can handle multiple tasks, stay focused, and adjust to changes in work priorities.
* Basic understanding of construction documents, budgets, and safety rules is a plus.
Required Qualities:
* Some experience or interest in construction or electrical work.
* Studying or training in Business, Construction, Electrical, or similar areas is helpful.
* Familiarity with CAD software or willing to learn.
Required Qualifications: GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
