Summary
Freedom Networks is seeking a Chargehand Linesperson for a field-based role. The main purpose of this role is to lead and work as part of a team in challenging overhead line projects, constructing and replacing outdated networks. This role offers opportunities for career development.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead a team in erecting poles, changing transformers, and performing overhead line work.
2. Construct, maintain, and replace overhead electrical networks up to 33kV.
3. Work in accordance with company and customer standards, policies, and procedures.
4. Lead by example and undertake works safely.
5. Participate in risk assessments and review safety conditions continuously.
6. Ensure all work complies with safety requirements and company procedures.
7. Install and construct overhead electricity networks adhering to standards and quality standards.
8. Report unsafe conditions or acts to your line manager.
9. Mentor team members and develop your own skills.
10. Work safely at all times, maintaining site safety and equipment.
11. Follow method statements and risk assessments.
12. Maintain awareness of SHEQ policies and safety instructions.
13. Adhere to company values and ensure high standards of work.
Candidate Requirements
1. Experience as a linesperson, including work on dead networks and live LV.
2. Enthusiastic team player willing to contribute to a leading business.
3. IPAF accreditation (training available).
4. Full driving license.
5. NRSWA Operative qualification.
6. Risk-conscious attitude.
7. Polite and courteous interaction with the public.
