What You Will Do
As a Healthcare Support Worker in the Emergency Department, you will assist nurses and doctors in providing high‑quality care to patients. Your duties include applying plaster casts, venepuncture and cannulation, performing patient assessments, and supporting improved nursing quality, including dementia and mental health initiatives.
Responsibilities
* Wash and dress patients, assist with personal hygiene
* Help patients access and use toilet facilities
* Serve meals, assist with feeding
* Assist safe patient movement
* Assist with bed making, cleaning tasks, errands, and general duties
* Collect pathological specimens (urine, faeces, sputum)
* Provide reassurance and support to patients and families
Shift Requirements
* Work a variety of shifts as part of your roster: mornings (7 am–3 pm), short days and long days (8–12 hours, 7 am–8 pm), evenings (until 8 pm), and nights (7 pm–7 am)
* Be available to work any day from Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays

* Flexible and able to work 24/7 emergency services
