We have an opportunity for enthusiastic & motivated Registered Nurses to join our District Nursing Team within Sandwell & West Birmingham Hospital NHS.
We are looking for a nurse who is committed to delivering high standards of care, who can work as a team player, and who has the confidence to work independently without direct supervision.
Due to the nature of the work, you must have a full driving licence and a car with business insurance.
Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care to patients within their own homes and clinic settings.
* Assist in the ongoing assessment of users to determine their individual needs and requirements based on a model of care.
* Plan and implement nursing care with the cooperation and involvement of users and carers where appropriate.
* Demonstrate, teach, and advise users and carers on self‑care, safety and promotion of good health by utilising all opportunities for health promotion and education.
* Participate in clinical supervision.
* Evaluate the condition of users and the effectiveness of care provided and initiate any further action required.
* Report and, where necessary, initiate emergency action with regard to changes in users' condition or behaviour.
* Give professional advice and support as necessary to nursing colleagues.
* Utilise a questioning approach to nursing and have an appreciation of relevant clinical research findings.
* Assist effective communication within the clinical environment and within the nursing team.
Qualifications
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
* Preparation to work flexibly and collaboratively to meet the needs of the service and a willingness to extend and develop existing skills.
