Job Purpose
We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Enterprise Architect team in London, responsible for our technology transformation agenda. You will create scalable solutions aligned with our strategic priorities, working across multiple functions and domains, with the ability to adapt and add value.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop technology strategies and roadmaps in collaboration with the Platform Strategy & Architecture team, based on group needs.
* Apply hands-on Enterprise Architecture experience with a proactive attitude to deliver excellence.
* Review and adopt frameworks and standards.
* Understand and document value chains and operating models.
* Create and maintain enterprise architecture design collateral, including blueprints and patterns.
* Own design problems and high-impact incidents independently, engaging stakeholders to achieve architecture or solution outcomes.
* Innovate by adding value beyond embedded solution architects.
* Conduct market scans of vendor solutions, creating summaries and recommendations.
* Prototype ideas through low-cost proof of concepts.
* Lead software and application assessments, identifying growth and cost optimization opportunities.
* Develop cloud-native solutions across multiple cloud platforms.
* Provide technology thought leadership and oversee domain solution architects, ensuring designs meet standards.
Qualifications
Key Skills and Experience
* Extensive experience as a Wealth or Asset Management enterprise architect or in tier 1 Financial Services firms.
* Proven track record delivering modern software and database solutions, including SaaS, microservices, event-driven design, and APIs.
* Experience as a developer and domain solution architect.
* Ability to produce high-quality architecture design documents such as maturity assessments, capabilities maps, roadmaps, and diagrams.
* Experience leading architecture reviews and governance forums.
Professional Qualifications and Education
* Degree in a technical/numerate field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
* Enterprise architecture qualifications at professional/expert level, covering Azure and TOGAF.
* Ability to quickly understand problems and develop architecture frameworks, governance, and core artifacts.
* Experience leading stakeholder engagement, including up to C-suite level.
