Description Starting Well Facilities Team Leader, Grade 7: £43,680 - £48,003pa Grade 7: £43,680 - £48,003pa 12 months Fixed Term Contract/Secondment Opportunity ( This role attracts additional allowances for working weekends, and unsociable hours). About the role We are seeking a proactive and experienced Facilities Team Lead to join our Starting Well Directorate. You will manage a team of Facilities Officers ensuring that our buildings, including MyPlace Community and Youth Centre, Hedley Close, and Havering’s Children Centre’s, operate efficiently, safely, and in a customer-focused manner. Key Responsibilities Manage and supervise Starting Well Facilities Officers, including appraisals and professional development. Cover shifts at Myplace as and when required. Ensure building compliance with health and safety standards and undertake risk assessments. Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks. Oversee building operations, including security, alarms, and cleaning. Work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required. Promote Starting Well facilities and services to the community. Deputise for the Facilities Manager as required. About You Experience managing public facing buildings. Knowledge of health and safety regulations & the ability to risk assess. Experience working with young people, and the principles safeguarding. Strong leadership and communication skills. First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain). Technical knowledge including audio/visual, lighting, connectivity, and cable management. Ability to be commercial minded to support the best use of facilities and generate income.
