International Design Manager Our client, a design agency embedded within a global organisation, seeks a highly experienced International Design Manager to lead their expanding creative team in India. This leadership role will be based between the UK (Bristol, London, Birmingham or Manchester) and Bangalore and comes with hybrid working, a salary of up to £70k and an impressive benefits package. About the Team You’ll be joining a collaborative, multi-disciplinary group of 80 creatives, including Graphic Designers, Project Managers, UX/UI Designers, Motion Graphics Experts, 3D Visualisers, Developers, and more, spread across locations. Together, they deliver powerful and meaningful design solutions across digital, print, events, immersive tech and beyond. The Opportunity Our client is looking for a forward-thinking design leader with a proven track record of managing high-performing creative teams and delivering quality work at scale. You’ll be instrumental in overseeing the design and artwork output and operational efficiency of the growing India-based studio (currently 15 people), while fostering strong, collaborative relationships with stakeholders across regions. This role is part of their wider leadership team and plays a key role in shaping the strategic direction of the global creative offering, blending visionary thinking with on-the-ground team development and operational know-how. Key responsibilities include: Leading the India-based design team, ensuring creative quality and consistency. Acting as the bridge between the UK and India teams to ensure smooth delivery across borders. Driving continuous improvement across people, processes and project delivery. Reporting on progress and performance, contributing to long-term growth strategies. Championing a culture of innovation, inclusion and excellence. About You Proven experience in a design leadership role in an international context. Strong understanding of both creative direction and operational management. Confident working across cultural contexts, particularly the UK and India. Naturally collaborative with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Commercially aware, with the ability to align creative execution to business goals. Location & Travel: This is a hybrid role based out of one of the client’s UK hubs (Birmingham, London, Manchester or Bristol) with regular travel to Bangalore, India.
