We are seeking an experienced Utilities Project Manager to join the multi-billion-pound Sizewell C (SZC) programme. This is a major opportunity to play a key role in one of the UK’s largest and most complex infrastructure projects.
You will lead the planning, coordination and delivery of utilities work packages, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient execution across several SZC project sites. The scope includes temporary and permanent connections, diversions, protection works and utility infrastructure upgrades across gas, water, power, telecoms and drainage.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Managing end-to-end delivery of utilities works (connections, diversions, protections, disconnections).
• Coordinating with utility providers, contractors, designers and local authorities.
• Ensuring utilities packages are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Maintaining Level 4 schedules and reviewing contractor planning (including 16-week lookaheads).
• Managing risks, issues, progress reporting and compliance documentation.
• Working across multiple geographic areas with overlapping boundaries.
• Contributing to continuous improvement and lessons learned within the programme.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Experience:
• Proven experience in Utilities Project Management covering gas, water, power or telecoms.
• Background in civil engineering, construction or infrastructure.
• Experience delivering utility diversions, new connections and protection works.
• Strong stakeholder engagement skills – able to work with utility companies, authorities and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Knowledge of HSG47, BWIC and CDM Regulations.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and produce clear project documentation.
• Able to obtain BPSS security clearance.
Desirable:
• SMSTS
• NRSWA / Streetworks
• EUSR and/or National Water Hygiene
Working Arrangements
• 3–4 days onsite at Rockford House, occasionally rising to 5 days per week depending on project needs.
• Occasional night work or HOC (Hours of Convenience).
• No overtime – all required hours are included within the day rate.
