Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our team in Colne on a maternity cover basis. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this role will play a key part in supporting the day-to-day finance and administrative operations of the business.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable who is looking to join a friendly, supportive team. While the role is initially to cover maternity leave, there may be an opportunity for a permanent position depending on business needs and candidate availability.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
* Support the Finance Director with day-to-day financial administration
* Process invoices, credit notes, and payments in a timely and accurate manner
* Reconcile supplier statements and deal with payment queries
* Monitor customer accounts and assist with credit control
* Maintain organised financial records and filing systems
* Provide general administrative support across the finance department
* Assist with month-end duties as required
Key Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant role
* Strong knowledge of accounts payable and receivable processes
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
* Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload
* Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
* Experience with accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) is desirable
* A proactive and professional approach
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

* This is a full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:30pm)
* The position is offered as a maternity cover role, with consideration for a permanent role depending on future availability within the team
