<div><p>General Information: Were recruiting for a Finishing Pig Manager for a farm in East Yorkshire, HU12. Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated farm manager to lead a large 10,000‑place indoor wean‑to‑finish pig unit.</p><p>This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on leader with a strong understanding of pig production, people management, animal welfare, and operational performance.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Lead, motivate, and develop all employees working on the farm</li><li>Take overall responsibility for the health and welfare of livestock, including feeding, moving, treating, vaccinating, and handling pigs</li><li>Ensure animal welfare standards are maintained in line with company policies, audit requirements, and Red Tractor Assured Standards</li><li>Promote and enforce high levels of biosecurity and site security across the unit</li><li>Ensure all farm equipment and machinery are operated safely, maintained correctly, and remain fit for purpose</li><li>Oversee the management and appropriate use of consumables, including feed, medicines, and other farm resources</li><li>Maintain accurate and timely completion of all production and compliance paperwork</li><li>Ensure the farm remains clean, tidy, and presentable at all times</li><li>Manage site security, including responsibility for buildings, compounds, and access points outside working hours</li><li>Monitor production performance and work with the team to achieve and exceed key performance targets</li><li>Support, coach, and develop team members through training and performance management</li><li>Foster a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and teamwork</li><li>Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, managers, and visitors</li></ul><h3>About You</h3><ul><li>Possess a genuine passion for animal welfare and livestock management</li><li>Previous management or leadership experience, ideally within an agricultural or livestock environment</li><li>Strong people management skills, with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop a high-performing team</li><li>The ability to interpret production data and use it to drive performance improvements</li><li>Excellent planning, organisational, and logistical skills</li><li>Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels</li><li>A proactive approach and a commitment to continuous learning and personal development</li><li>A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, due to the rural location of the farm</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays)</li><li>Enhanced company pension scheme</li><li>Death in service insurance</li><li>24/7 health and wellbeing support</li><li>Access to the discounts platform</li><li>Eligibility for the Share Save scheme</li><li>Free on‑site parking</li><li>Comprehensive on and off‑farm training to enhance your expertise in all aspects of pig farming</li><li>All company workwear and showering facilities are provided</li></ul><p>Salary: Competitive DOE</p><p>Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, with alternate weekend working.</p><p>Only applicants from UK or EU nationals with the right to work in the UK will be considered.</p></div>
