A fantastic opportunity has become available at Pixieland Nurseries. We are looking for an apprentice early years educator to complete a Level 3 apprenticeship at our Saltash Nursery. The role supports children’s play, learning and development while you gain hands‑on experience and progress toward your qualification.
Responsibilities
* Care for children
* Prepare and maintain environments to meet children’s needs
* Support children’s play and learning
* Support children’s development
* Adhere to all safeguarding practices
* Prepare snacks and assist with feeding and cleaning
Qualifications & Experience
* Be 16 or over and not already in full‑time education
* Hold at least a Level 2 childcare qualification (functional skills in maths and English may be completed alongside the apprenticeship)
* Good communication skills
* Ability to use a computer
* Adaptable and able to work as part of a team
* Follow instructions from the room leader diligently
* Polite, patient, punctual, diligent, trustworthy, reliable
* Commitment to confidentiality
Apprenticeship Details
The apprenticeship will include regular one‑to‑one sessions with a dedicated trainer, training for a specific job role and paid holiday leave. You will study for at least 20 % of your working hours, complete assessments throughout the programme and receive a Level 3 early years educator qualification at the end.
