Summit Learning Trust Mission Statement Success through Endeavour Ambition through Challenge Strength through Diversity About this Role This is a fixed-term role due to maternity cover and is up until January 2027 or upon the return of the post-holder. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Level 3 Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at Cockshut Hill Secondary school. You will work alongside teachers to support high-quality teaching and learning, helping learners to reach their full potential both academically and personally. Key Responsibilities Support pupils’ learning in lessons, small groups, and one-to-one settings. Assist teachers with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities. Adapt resources and approaches to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND. Monitor and record pupils’ progress, providing feedback to teaching staff. Help maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment. Supervise learners during non-teaching times, including break and lunch where required. About our school Cockshut Hill School (rated Good with Outstanding features in our recent Ofsted inspection) is part of the Summit Learning Trust comprising Cockshut Hill, Lyndon School, Ninestiles, an Academy, four primary schools and the Solihull Sixth Form College. About You We are looking for someone who: Holds a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Has recent experience working with children or young people in an educational setting. Can adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning needs. Is a proactive and supportive team player. Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
