As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of equipment at customer sites and in our workshop. You will be expected to troubleshoot technical issues, provide excellent customer service, and ensure all work is completed to the highest standards. This is a hands-on role with a strong emphasis on both technical expertise and customer interaction.
Key Responsibilities:
* Maintenance & Repairs: Perform scheduled maintenance and respond to emergency repair requests, diagnosing faults and ensuring equipment is fully operational.
* Troubleshooting: Identify, diagnose, and resolve technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
* Customer Support: Provide clear communication and technical guidance to customers, ensuring they understand the operation of their equipment and any maintenance requirements.
* Documentation: Maintain accurate service reports, work orders, and inventory records.
* Continuous Improvement: Contribute to the development of best practices and help improve service efficiency.
Skills & Experience:
* Proven experience as a Field Service Engineer, Technician, or in a similar role within engineering, plant maintenance, mechanical and electrical knowledge .
* Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic, electrical and mechanical.
* Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Strong communication and customer service skills.
* Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in varying environments.
* Full UK/ driving license
