About you: You will be part of the busy Contracts & Commercial Services team undertaking multi-million pound projects throughout our estates across the city. Your duties will include. Can you carry out all aspects of Plastering? i.e. Boarding, Skimming, Dot and Dab, Patch Plastering, Easi filling Undertaking full ceiling and wall reboards and reskims in tenanted and void properties. To be able to “Artex” ceilings and walls. Including patch repairs. Re-tiling walls in both kitchen and bathrooms in accordance with policy set out by Housing Operations void standard. De-grouting tiles Render repairs and any masonry repairs across the city Minor brickwork and pointing including blocking up fireplaces and making good floors Experience and knowledge in this field is a must. You will need a full driving licence in order to drive our vehicles and will also be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS check as part of the pre-employment checks. As the work is varied a flexible approach is required to meet changing needs and tight deadlines. Excellent customer service skills, enthusiasm, and a ‘can do’ attitude is all essential as you’ll be our ambassador when you visit our customers’ homes to carry out repairs and installations to the highest of standards You will liaise with residents, peers and colleagues on a daily basis so communication and customer focus will be essential to the role. Organisational, customer service, time management and physical skills are key to this role.
