Adult Social Care Solicitor Rate: £50-£60 per hour - Negotiable DOE Contract Length: 3-6-month initial contract South Wales Local Authority Flexible Hybrid Working An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Solicitor to join the Council's Community Legal Team, specialising in Adult Social Care and Community Care law. This is a varied and rewarding in-house role providing high-quality legal advice and representation across adult protection and community care matters, supporting the Council's statutory functions and safeguarding responsibilities. Key Responsibilities As Solicitor within the Community Team, you will: Provide expert legal advice on Adult Protection and Community Care matters. Prepare and conduct litigation on behalf of the Council. Draft and issue applications to Court for statutory orders. Represent the Council before Courts, Tribunals, Hearings and Inquiries (including conducting advocacy where required). Key Requirements Qualified as a Solicitor or Barrister, holding a current practising certificate or rights of audience. Experience and knowledge within Adult Social Care / Community Care law. Practical knowledge of public law and local government practice. Strong advocacy and communication skills.
