The Import Assistant for Leica Biosystems is responsible for the processing, monitoring & record keeping of Inbound shipments in accordance with all relevant policies & procedures. This position reports to the Senior Distribution Manager and is part of the Global Supply Chain team located in Newcastle, UK. This will be a fully on-site based role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Conduct Import Clearance by relaying with external Custom House Brokers - clear all goods into UK from global suppliers Import Performance Monitoring - Analysis of KPI's for Key Critical Custom House Brokers to ensure timely clearance and management of flow of goods Imports The essential requirements of the job include: Bachelor or Technical Degree in area of Logistics/Supply Chain based field area or similar Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements Ability to travel - 5-15% travel may be required, overnight, within territory or locations It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in Multiple years of experience in the field of Importation and Customs Knowledge and skillset related to Customs House Brokerage Join our winning team today.
