The Role
The successful candidate will deliver engaging Art lessons, foster creativity, and encourage students to develop their technical and conceptual skills. Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering high-quality Art lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, and where applicable, Key Stage 5.
* Supporting students in practical projects, promoting experimentation, problem-solving, and individual expression.
* Assessing and monitoring student progress, providing constructive feedback and reports.
* Contributing to curriculum development, lesson planning, and resource management.
* Encouraging students to participate in exhibitions, competitions, and enrichment activities.
* Maintaining a safe and inspiring studio environment in line with health and safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong subject knowledge in Art.
* Practical experience with a wide range of artistic media and techniques.
* Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
* Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
* Commitment to health and safety in practical lessons.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
