Currently we have an excellent opportunity for a CYPMHS Eating Disorder Consultant Psychiatrist to join a specialist Tier 4 inpatient service for young people aged 12–18 with complex eating disorders. You’ll be part of a supportive, experienced multidisciplinary team delivering highly individualised, evidence-based treatment programmes designed around each young person’s needs.
Salary: £160,000 – £175,000 DOE

Hours: Full-time
Setting: Tier 4 CYP inpatient eating disorder service
Location: Brighton
Responsibilities
* Review referrals and assess suitability for admission
* Conduct admission assessments and develop effective management plans
* Lead assessment and ongoing treatment of CYP with eating disorders
* Complete regular risk assessments and monitor physical health
* Provide leadership, supervision and risk management to MDT
* Maintain high standards of governance, documentation and safeguarding
* Participate in CYPMHS consultant on-call rota and cross-cover arrangements
Qualifications
* Full GMC registration with licence and Specialist Register (or within 6 months CCT)
* Extensive CYPMHS experience, ideally in inpatient ED settings
* Excellent clinical leadership, communication and teamwork abilities
* Strong safeguarding awareness and trauma-informed practice
* Interest in research, service development or specialist therapies
