Logistics Manager Location: West Bromwich Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Salary: From £50,000 per annum Groomfield Recruitment are supporting a long-standing client in the search for an experienced Logistics Manager to oversee bulk fleet operations, workforce coordination and end-to-end logistics performance. This is a key leadership role within a growing operations team. Logistics Manager Key Responsibilities Lead the planning, organisation and scheduling of bulk logistics operations Oversee drivers and logistics personnel, ensuring safe, compliant and efficient operations Coordinate with internal teams and suppliers to ensure timely product availability and delivery Manage vehicle allocation, routing, scheduling and operational planning Monitor and track deliveries, vehicle utilisation, KPIs and logistics performance metrics Support continuous improvement through process development, optimisation and cost-reduction Ensure compliance with all relevant transport, safety and operational regulations Maintain accurate records including fleet maintenance, inspections, documentation and training Oversee incident investigations and corrective actions in collaboration with Health & Safety Coordinate fleet maintenance in line with legal requirements, ensuring operational readiness Develop and manage logistics budgets and operational expenditure Handle escalations, customer issues and service-related challenges Support cross-departmental communication to drive operational excellence Key Skills & Competencies Strong planning, coordination and logistics management capability CPC Qualification is advantageous. Dangerous Goods Knowledge Experience managing fleet operations, scheduling and driver performance Knowledge of transport compliance, safety standards and regulatory requirements Strong communication skills across all levels of the business
