Responsibilities
* Write engaging and shareable partnership and editorial content that appeals to The Handbook audience and drives traffic to our website and social media platforms.
* Conduct thorough keyword and AI research on a variety of food, culture, and lifestyle topics to generate unique content ideas and subject themes. This foundational work will guide our content strategy to ensure we create what our audience is actively looking for.
* Optimise content for SEO and AI search to improve search engine rankings and increase organic traffic.
* Monitor and analyse the performance of content using analytics tools to identify areas for improvement.
* Proactively create and feature in original content for The Handbook's social media channels (Instagram, TikTok), including being comfortable presenting to camera.
* Stay up to date with the latest trends, news, and developments in the food, culture, and lifestyle industries.
* Collaborate with other team members, including editors and designers, to ensure the quality and accuracy of the content.
* Proofread and edit content to ensure grammatical accuracy and adherence to our brand guidelines.
* Affiliate integration within all relevant content.
* Support the Digital Editor in the management of all freelance/contributor partnership commissions and content.
* Attend regular editorial planning meetings.
* Provide regular competitor insight to ensure The Handbook is positioned at the forefront of the industry.
* Act as a voice and vision for the brand, representing The Handbook at industry events. We are looking for a gifted partnerships writer who is also comfortable and confident presenting to camera, able to feature across all our channels and capture engaging, high-quality social content from the best food, culture and lifestyle spots across London.
