Overview
Student Placement: Multi Sports Systems Operator 2026/27 at Hawk-Eye Innovations Ltd. Location: Based in Basingstoke. Contract: Full-time, Fixed Term 12 Months. Salary: £20,000. Travel: Domestic, across Europe and potentially globally. Start Date: Summer 2026.
What Does A Growth Sports Systems Operator Do?
* Installation and setup of Hawk-Eye technology in the build-up to matches, and performing pre-match checks (this can involve physically demanding work, such as rigging cameras and running cables).
* Liaise with key stakeholders from broadcaster companies, match officials and teams to ensure all contractual obligations are seamlessly delivered.
* Monitoring and operating Hawk-Eye technologies during matches.
* Providing quick resolutions for any technical issues.
* Work in a variety of environments; within Hawk-Eye teams, across onsite, office-based or remote opportunities.
* Taking ownership of our system on-site and representing our company in the best possible manner.
* Research and development into new projects and technologies.
* Maintenance of the kit and equipment needed to run the system.

What Difficulties Might I Face?
There can be difficult times, including:
* Working Hours: Weekend and midweek evening work may be required until the last ball is hit.
* Travelling Abroad: Periods of the year may be spent working throughout Europe and internationally, based on the events in the sporting calendar.
* High-Pressure Situations: Working in a live broadcast environment distributed to millions worldwide will involve high levels of pressure.
