Highly competitive salaryPensionGood management supportCareer developmentAs Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the services in Abingdon and Didcot. You will lead by example, supporting and supervising a team of support workers to deliver high-quality, personalised care that promotes independence, dignity, and choice.What Youll Need Experience working with individuals with learning disabilities and autism and PBS needs.Previous experience working with behaviours that may challenge.Previous supervisory or management experience in a care and support setting.Strong understanding of safeguarding, risk management, and person-centred care.Excellent communication and organisational skills.NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent); Level 5 desirable.Strong English communication skills (spoken & written) and ability to produce written reportsPrevious experience working within a PBS framework would be an advantageExperience in assisting with managing and assessing new people to supportA valid manual UK driving licenceThe legal right to live and work in the UKStatutory guidance & CQC regulations exposureAdeep understanding of regulatory standards for supported livingUp to date knowledge of Health and safety legislationWhat Youll Be Doing Support the Registered Manager in overseeing the service and ensuring compliance with CQC standards.Lead, motivate, and manage support workers, including supervision, training, and performance reviews.Ensure care plans are person-centred and regularly reviewed.Promote a positive and inclusive environment for the people we support.Respond to incidents and safeguarding concerns appropriately.Build strong relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies.Who Youll Be SupportingJon* Enjoys watching football, playing pool and joining social groups in the community.

He also likes going swimming. He needs support and prompting to complete all daily tasks as he can easily get distracted and unfocussed. Jon needs calm and consistency in life.Jake* is 'Mr Energiser' as he is always bursting with energy!

He needs regular physical activities such as going out on his skate board, playing football, long walks and cooking. He is not faint hearted, as he also loves participating in banger racing! Jake needs lots of support to complete tasks and to stay focussed.Joe* is the 'Mr Independent' of the home.

He has a part time job. Enjoys playing pool, walking, going down the pub and sharing his love of rock music. Joe needs support with independent living skills as one of his goals is to live independently.Jason* likes routine and predictability.

Jason finds it very challenging when he cannot go out and do things that he enjoys. Jason likes to go out in his vehicle daily on a pre-planned route, which his support team are required to drive. Jason loves music, BBC 1, BBC 2 radio and colouring activities.

Jason's family is very important to him and is involved in his support and wellbeing.
