HC-One is seeking a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, and ideally some IT skills. Communication skills should be considerate and kind, especially when interacting with residents and co-workers.
The Maintenance Operative will ensure our residents live in a well-maintained environment by conducting inspections, audits, and keeping records up to date. Responsibilities include replacing taps or mixer valves, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or decorating, always with kindness as a priority.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should be able to recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional role-specific training. You should be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
