A great opportunity for a proactive, customer-focused HR Advisor to join a growing HR team during an exciting period of organisational development. You’ll support both teaching and operational staff across multiple business areas, working closely with managers to deliver a high-quality, people-centred HR service.
You will bring strong collaboration, sound judgement on complex ER matters, and a passion for developing others, driving change and enhancing the HR service; education sector experience is desirable but not essential, and the role supports key strands of the People Strategy while contributing to growth.
The Role
You will:
* Lead and advise on a range of employee relations cases (absence, performance, disciplinary, grievance, change).
* Conduct investigations and act as the HR representative in formal meetings.
* Support HR projects including manager training, onboarding, induction, policy development and process improvement.
* Contribute to employee voice activity including surveys and consultative forums.
* Help deliver L&D initiatives, performance review improvements and the use of the new HR system.
* Advise on benefits, family leave, and assist with payroll-related changes.
* Champion EDI, inclusive recruitment and consistent, accessible HR processes.
* Support safer recruitment, safeguarding inductions and record-keeping.
About You
You will ideally be CIPD-qualified (Level 5 desirable) or bring equivalent experience, with strong ER skills, excellent communication, sound judgement and the ability to manage a varied HR generalist workload. Experience in education or working with trade unions is beneficial but not essential. You enjoy collaboration, continuous improvement and building strong relationships at all levels.
If you’re an organised, confident HR professional looking to make an impact and grow within a supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
