The Role:
Our client is a global designer and manufacturer of innovative packaging products, with almost 50,000 employees and 300 sites worldwide. They are experiencing growth and are seeking an Electrically biased multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their site near Weldon.
You will be responsible for conducting preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing electrical & mechanical faults, supporting production efficiency across electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems. You will also participate in projects, stock management, process improvement, and maintaining high safety standards.
What You'll Need:
* Apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Electronics or Electrical Engineering
* Ability to read electrical/electronic schematics
* Experience in preventative maintenance
* Electrical fault finding on PLCs, motors, AC/DC drives, and control systems like Profibus and DeviceNet
* A proactive, team-oriented approach and willingness to learn
* Proven track record as an Electrically biased multi-skilled maintenance engineer
* Ability to troubleshoot faults with control gear and PLC systems
* Mechanical and electrical competence
* Experience in PPM of machines including extruders, moulders, bottle finishing, testing, and packing machinery
* Ability to work a 2,2,3 shift pattern, rotating between days and nights
