Maintenance Engineer (Industrial Manufacturing)

Circa £55,000 (incl. shift allowance) + Bonus
Mon–Fri 4-Day Week (Week days/Week nights – 40 hrs a week average)

Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer
As a key member of the maintenance team, you’ll play a crucial role in driving equipment reliability and manufacturing performance. Your responsibilities will include:
Delivering planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance across site
Diagnosing faults on both mechanical and electrical systems, including motors and drives
Responding to breakdowns quickly to maximise uptime and minimise disruption
Carrying out repairs and inspections on hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to increase OEE and productivity
Working closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules
Recording all maintenance activities within the CMMS system
Ensuring all work is completed in line with health & safety standards
Supporting wider team activities, including holiday and absence cover
Experience & Qualifications - Maintenance Engineer
Time-served, multi-skilled engineering background (mechanical bias preferred)
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across mechanical and electrical systems
Experience working within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment
Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems (PPM/TPM)
Understanding of hydraulics and industrial systems
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
A proactive, problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
Desirable (not essential):
Experience with CNC machinery
Exposure to lean manufacturing tools (5S, TPM, continuous improvement)
