Job Title: Investment Consultant (DC Pensions)
Mercer is seeking an Investment Consultant to join our specialist and fully integrated UK DC Pensions team. You will be responsible for providing investment advice on our larger and more complex clients.

Customer and client expectations are evolving, companies are merging at historic rates, and technology is advancing faster than the market can keep up with. We aim to lead by example by being drivers of change through education, tools, and services that optimize employer retirement outcomes. This role has been designed to do just that!
We will count on you to:
1. Provide investment advice to a wide range of institutional clients on investment objectives, policy, manager selection, and monitoring investments.
2. Create and evaluate investment strategies and their impact for large and jumbo market clients.
3. Build new and develop existing business by maintaining relationships, networking, attending events, and seminars, leveraging your expertise in DC.
4. Grow your book of retainer and project relationships through presentations, RFP responses, and collaborative calls with colleagues within IC and cross-LOB.
5. Maintain marketplace visibility through public speaking, participating in professional societies, and publishing articles in trade journals.
6. Create project work plans, monitor timelines, and manage budgets.
7. Identify client requirements and guide the team to meet deadlines and service standards.
8. Peer review reports, add client-specific information, and ensure client suitability.
What you need to have:
1. Relevant professional qualification such as IMC, FIA/FFA, or CFA.
2. Experience providing investment advice in a Defined Contributions consultancy or leadership role.
3. Knowledge of investment products and distribution, especially in the DC pensions market.
4. Excellent client management and communication skills.
